Now for the next step. To be the best that I can be I've analysed the list from yesterdays post and devised a strategy to make some initial improvements.
I feel that I can make improvements to each point by increasing my energy levels. If I'm looking for a link between the issues that I have, I think it is that bad diet and drinking too much alcohol will reduce my available energy. Which, in turn, will make me sluggish, unfit, irritable and will lead to low motivation, poor efficiency and innevitably lead to me making incorrect decisions.
Next, I analyse my diet. I drink a lot on a Friday and Saturday and have a couple of drinks on maybe two nights a week. The nights that I don't drink, I crave sugar as my body is used to getting a large carb hit from the alcohol so I eat chocolate. The rest of my diet is excellent with plenty of fruit, veg, lean protein etc. I need to remove the 'sugar cycle'. Crave sugar, eat sugar, get sugar high, come down, crave sugar....repeat!
So, here's the plan. I'm cutting sweets, cakes, biscuits etc out of my diet for a month and I'm cutting alcohol back to a couple of drinks on a Friday and Saturday. The result of this will hopefully be increased energy levels which should have an impact on the things that are holding Bob back.
